Requirements & limits
The project is a public GitHub repository licensed under GPL-3.0. Its README identifies a hosted website and describes using MetaMask for the Mumbai testnet workflow.
- The documented network setup is for Polygon Mumbai testnet, not confirmed mainnet use.
- Running the project requires operator-provided contract addresses and Firebase configuration.
- The repository documents Next.js, Tailwind, Polygon, Firebase and Hardhat deployment scripts.
Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.
Configure the marketplace for Polygon Mumbai
Prepare the documented application configuration for its Polygon Mumbai testnet setup.
Before you start
- MetaMask browser extension
- NFT and marketplace contract addresses
- Firebase configuration
- A private key stored in a .secret file before deploying
Steps
Add the Mumbai TestNet network in MetaMask with the README's RPC URL, chain ID 80001 and Matic currency symbol.
Run the documented Hardhat deployment command on localhost to obtain the NFT and marketplace contract addresses.
Put those addresses in config.js and replace NEXT_PUBLIC_WORKSPACE_URL with the documented Mumbai workspace URL.
Replace the values in firebase-config.js, then start the application with npm run dev.
Expected outcome
The application is configured for the documented Polygon Mumbai testnet workflow.
Guide limitations
- The instructions cover Mumbai testnet settings and do not establish Polygon mainnet support or current endpoint availability.
- Contract addresses and Firebase settings must be supplied by the operator.
