Understand the project

Practical overview

When it fits

Use it when a supported coding-agent harness needs to hand off a separate research, review, or implementation task to Antigravity CLI rather than handle every task in its main agent.

Who it is for

  • Developers using Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Pi, or OpenCode who want to delegate work to `agy`.
  • Coding-agent users who need distinct research, review, implementation, general-purpose, or question-answering personas.

Documented uses

  • Delegate code research to a researcher persona.
  • Ask for reviews of code, plans, or decisions.
  • Hand off scoped implementation work while the main agent continues.
  • Ask a tool-free question through the ask persona.

Requirements & limits

The project is public on GitHub under the MIT license. Installation requires Node.js and the Antigravity CLI; OpenCode instructions additionally specify an authenticated `agy` CLI.

  • Supported harnesses are Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Pi, and OpenCode, with a different invocation format for each.
  • The ask persona is tool-free; staffer, researcher, reviewer, and implementer run unrestricted by default.
  • Optional restricted setup is available, but its prefix-matched allowlist applies machine-wide and restricted runs may return less.
  • OpenCode documentation covers V1 and explicitly does not cover V2.

Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.

Source-based practical guide

Install Agy Staff in OpenCode

Install the plugin through OpenCode’s native plugin manager and invoke its ask command.

Before you start

  • Node.js
  • OpenCode V1
  • An authenticated agy CLI

Steps

  1. Install the plugin with opencode plugin 'agy-staff@git+https://github.com/keli-wen/agy-staff.git' --global.

  2. Restart OpenCode.

  3. Run /agy-ask reply with OK.

Expected outcome

The README says the plugin registers its `agy-*` skills and native slash commands in OpenCode.

Guide limitations

  • The adapter instructions cover OpenCode V1; OpenCode V2 is not covered.
  • To upgrade, select a newer Git tag or commit in the package specification and install with --force, then restart.
