Practical overview
When it fits
Use it as a codebase when developing or evaluating Solana-side NFT transfers through ZetaChain, including inbound NFT minting and cross-chain ownership checks.
Who it is for
- Solana developers building cross-chain NFT flows.
- Teams exploring incoming NFT processing and minting on Solana.
- Developers working on cross-chain NFT metadata or ownership verification.
Documented uses
- Initiate an NFT transfer from Solana to a supported chain through ZetaChain.
- Process an NFT originating on another chain by minting it on Solana.
- Maintain cross-chain NFT metadata and verify ownership.
- Build and configure the program for a Solana devnet environment.
Requirements & limits
The GitHub repository is public and identifies Apache-2.0 as its license.
- The README names Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Polygon, Avalanche, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, Linea, Mantle, Scroll, Berachain, and Bitcoin as supported chains.
- The documented implementation is a Solana program, not a supplied user interface.
- Building the project requires the listed Rust, Solana CLI, Anchor, and Node.js toolchain.
Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.
Set up and build the Solana program
Install the documented dependencies, build the program with Anchor, and configure the project for devnet.
Before you start
- Rust 1.70 or later
- Solana CLI 1.17 or later
- Anchor Framework 0.29
- Node.js 18
- Yarn or npm
Steps
Clone the repository and enter its project directory.
Install dependencies with Yarn or npm.
Run
anchor build.Update Anchor.toml with the program ID, devnet cluster, and wallet path.
Set the Solana keypair and switch the Solana CLI to devnet.
Expected outcome
The documented setup produces an Anchor build and configures the Solana CLI and Anchor provider for devnet.
Guide limitations
- The README uses placeholder repository and program-ID values that must be supplied.
- These steps cover setup and configuration, not successful deployment or execution.
