Practical overview
When it fits
Use Solutils when a React Solana application needs a documented hook-based flow for initiating token transfers and reflecting transaction status in its interface.
Who it is for
- React developers building Solana dApps.
- Teams adding token transfer forms and transaction feedback to a web interface.
Documented uses
- Submit a token transfer using wallet public-key, connection, and send-transaction data.
- Display a transfer’s pending, successful, or failed state.
- Show a successful transaction’s signature and Solana Explorer URL.
Requirements & limits
The repository is public, open source, and licensed under MIT.
- The documented stack includes TypeScript, React, Solana web3.js version 1, SPL Token, and Solana Wallet Adapter React.
- The transfer hook takes a recipient, token symbol or address, and amount, and relies on wallet-provided transaction submission.
- The README directs developers to the project documentation for additional hooks and examples.
Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.
Add the documented token-transfer hook to a React app
Wire the Solutils transfer hook to Solana wallet data and show the documented transaction states.
Before you start
- A React application using TypeScript.
- Install @lndgalante/solutils, @solana/web3.js@1, @solana/spl-token, and @solana/wallet-adapter-react.
- A wallet-adapter context that provides a public key, connection, and sendTransaction function.
Steps
Install the package and peer dependencies with the README’s npm command.
Import useTransferTokens from @lndgalante/solutils and obtain connection, publicKey, and sendTransaction from the wallet-adapter hooks.
Call useTransferTokens with publicKey, connection, and sendTransaction.
Call getTransferTokensReceipt with a recipient address, token symbol or address, and amount; render the returned status, result, and error.
Expected outcome
A React interface can present idle, loading, success, and error states; on success, the example exposes a transaction signature and Solana Explorer URL.
Guide limitations
- The documented example demonstrates a USDC transfer; the guide does not establish compatibility beyond the documented hook inputs.
- Sending depends on the wallet’s sendTransaction function and the app’s wallet and connection setup.
Compare options for Wallet connections
These projects document a common task and share a project role. This is a source-based comparison, not an execution benchmark or a guarantee of interchangeability.
