Practical overview
When it fits
Use it when developing or evaluating an application that needs Solana swap quoting and transaction-building flows, especially if a runnable UI and reference code are useful.
Who it is for
- Developers building Solana swap interfaces or wallet integrations.
- Teams exploring quote and transaction-building flows for SPL or Token-2022 tokens.
Documented uses
- Request token-swap quotes and compare Vybe, Jupiter and Titan routes.
- Inspect multi-hop routing and per-hop fee details in the included interface.
- Build unsigned swap transactions for a wallet-signing flow.
- Use the included proxy or API examples as a starting point for server-side integrations.
Requirements & limits
The repository is publicly accessible and includes a link to a hosted demo. The README's local setup requires API credentials for data and swap quote/build functions as described in the setup guide.
- The repository combines a frontend and Node.js backend, while also showing direct API and local-proxy request examples.
- The documented router choices are Vybe, Jupiter and Titan; the README describes Vybe routing with optional fallback to Jupiter or Titan.
- Signing is distinct from building: the interface describes Build & Sign, Build only, and Paste & Sign modes.
Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.
Run the local swap interface
Set up the repository and open its local swap application.
Before you start
- Node.js 20 or later
- npm 10 or equivalent
- A VYBE_DATA_API_KEY, unless VYBE_API_KEY is set as a fallback for data endpoints
- A VYBE_API_KEY for swap quote and build requests
Steps
Clone the repository and change into its directory.
Install dependencies with npm install.
Copy .env.example to .env and set the required API key values.
Run npm start, then open http://localhost:3000.
Expected outcome
The local web interface is available for entering token mints and an amount, choosing a router, and requesting a quote.
Guide limitations
- The README documents setup and the interface flow; it does not establish that this guide has been independently executed.
- A wallet is used for signing flows; the README also describes pasting an address for the quote flow and a build-only mode that produces an unsigned transaction.
Compare options for DEX swap integration
These projects document a common task and share a project role. This is a source-based comparison, not an execution benchmark or a guarantee of interchangeability.
| Project | Documented purpose | Platform | Access and requirements |
|---|---|---|---|
| Solana Swap API | Request token-swap quotes and compare Vybe, Jupiter and Titan routes. | Server, Web | The repository is publicly accessible and includes a link to a hosted demo. The README's local setup requires API credentials for data and swap quote/build functions as described in the setup guide. |
| Dex V4 | Build an exchange interface around an on-chain SPL-token orderbook. | Cloud, Server | The repository is public and contains the on-chain program code. The supplied documentation identifies no license. |
