Practical overview
When it fits
Use Mopro when proof generation needs to be integrated into an iOS, Android, Flutter or React Native application and the project uses one of its supported proving systems.
Who it is for
- Developers building iOS or Android applications with local zero-knowledge proving
- Teams integrating Circom, Halo2 or Noir into mobile software
- Flutter and React Native developers who need generated proving bindings
- Rust developers using a CLI-assisted mobile ZK build workflow
Documented uses
- Generate bindings that connect supported ZK provers with application code
- Scaffold projects for native and cross-platform targets
- Package mobile proving integrations for iOS and Android
- Use Rust-based build tooling for mobile ZK integration
Requirements & limits
The repository is public and identifies an Apache-2.0 license.
- Supported proving systems are Circom, Halo2 and Noir.
- Supported targets include iOS, Android, Swift with Xcode, Kotlin with Android Studio, Flutter, React Native and Web.
- The core implementation is Rust-based and uses UniFFI for generated bindings.
- The CLI and mopro-ffi serve different roles: one scaffolds projects, while the other generates prover bindings.
- The repository includes end-to-end integration examples for mopro-ffi.
Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.
Set up a mobile ZK project with Mopro CLI
Install the Mopro CLI and use its documented build workflow to scaffold bindings for a selected mobile target.
Before you start
- A cloned Mopro repository
- Rust and Cargo available for installing the CLI
- A supported proving system and target platform selected in the Mopro workflow
- The relevant mobile development environment, such as Xcode or Android Studio, for the chosen target
Steps
Clone the Mopro repository.
Change into the cli directory and install the command-line tool with Cargo.
Run the Mopro build workflow.
Choose a supported proving system and target such as iOS, Android, Flutter or React Native when prompted.
Expected outcome
A scaffolded project or generated bindings for the selected proving system and target platform, as described by the repository workflow.
Guide limitations
- The supplied instructions document installation and binding-generation stages, not the complete implementation of an application or proof flow.
- Supported prover and target combinations depend on the options exposed by the Mopro CLI.
