Flash Arb Bot

Flash Arb Bot is a JavaScript and Solidity implementation of Aave V3 flash-loan arbitrage on Arbitrum. A Node.js scanner checks DEX prices and estimates returns after fees and gas; a smart contract borrows a token and swaps it across two exchanges in one atomic transaction, repaying the loan and fee before forwarding qualifying surplus to the contract owner.

Understand the project

Practical overview

When it fits

Use it to inspect or configure a scheduled Arbitrum arbitrage workflow when you can manage RPC settings, protocol addresses, GitHub Actions secrets, wallet security, and transaction gas.

Who it is for

  • Developers examining an open-source Arbitrum flash-loan arbitrage implementation
  • Experienced DeFi users configuring scheduled DEX price scans and transaction attempts
  • Readers studying how off-chain opportunity screening can work alongside on-chain transaction conditions

Documented uses

  • Scan configured exchange routes and estimate potential profit after fees and gas.
  • Run opportunity checks on a schedule through GitHub Actions.
  • Submit a qualifying two-exchange swap using an Aave V3 flash loan.
  • Log potential opportunities without trading by keeping DRY_RUN enabled.

Requirements & limits

The implementation is available as a public GitHub repository under the MIT license. The README describes scheduled execution through GitHub Actions and a default dry-run setting.

  • The implementation combines a Node.js price scanner with a Solidity executor that uses Aave V3 flash loans.
  • The documented DEX flow swaps across two exchanges in one atomic transaction; the README names Uniswap and SushiSwap and also describes a V2-style alternative route.
  • An on-chain minimum-profit condition reverts trades that do not cover repayment and configured profit, but gas for an attempted transaction can still be lost.
  • The README says DRY_RUN defaults to true, so scans and logs do not send transactions until explicitly changed.
  • Live configuration requires current protocol addresses, RPC access, GitHub secrets, a wallet key, and ETH for gas.

Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.

Source-based practical guide

Configure a dry-run scan with GitHub Actions

Set up the documented scan configuration while keeping transaction submission disabled.

Before you start

  • A GitHub account and access to the repository's Actions settings
  • An Arbitrum RPC URL from a provider such as Alchemy or Infura
  • Values for the scan configuration, including PAIRS_CONFIG_JSON
  • DRY_RUN set to true

Steps

  1. Create an Arbitrum One application with an RPC provider and copy its HTTPS RPC URL.

  2. In the repository, add ARBITRUM_RPC_URL, DRY_RUN=true, and the scan configuration secrets described in .env.example.

  3. Use the documented scheduled GitHub Actions workflow to run the scanner in dry-run mode.

Expected outcome

The bot scans and logs opportunities and estimated profit without sending a transaction.

Guide limitations

  • Dry-run mode does not execute trades.
  • Live transaction submission would require further configuration and ETH for gas.
