Practical overview
When it fits
Use CCC when developing in JavaScript or TypeScript for CKB and you need reusable tools for node access, transaction workflows, signing or wallet connections. Its examples and browser playground also support learning and short code explorations.
Who it is for
- JavaScript and TypeScript developers building applications for Nervos CKB.
- Developers who need CKB node interaction and programmatic blockchain data processing.
- Teams adding transaction composition, signing or wallet-connection workflows to an application.
- Learners exploring CKB through code examples and browser demos.
Documented uses
- Build a CKB application from a framework template or add CCC packages to an existing project.
- Interact with CKB nodes and process blockchain data programmatically.
- Compose transactions with helper functions and send them through a signer.
- Add a wallet connector or create a customized wallet-connection interface.
- Explore CKB concepts with examples, demos and the browser playground.
Requirements & limits
The repository is public and identified as open source. The README documents browser-based playground and app experiences, as well as package installation and project bootstrapping.
- Choose among separate packages for Node.js, custom UI, web components and React according to the integration point.
- The browser playground supports code execution, data visualization and code sharing without the preparation described as necessary for local testing.
- The advanced
/advancedexports are explicitly described as unstable interfaces. - CCC's Agent Skills cover CKB-specific topics and are intended to address coding errors caused by EVM-centric assumptions.
Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.
Bootstrap a CCC application
Create a starter CCC-based application using the documented CLI prompts.
Before you start
- Use one of the documented package-manager commands: npx, yarn or pnpm.
- Choose a framework template when prompted.
Steps
Run the command below,
yarn create ccc-app my-ccc-app, orpnpm create ccc-app my-ccc-app.npx create-ccc-app@latest my-ccc-appFollow the prompts to select a framework template.
Expected outcome
A new CCC-based application is bootstrapped from the selected framework template.
Guide limitations
- The setup instructions do not specify how to run or deploy the generated application.
Install a CCC package in an existing project
Add a documented CCC package suited to a Node.js, custom UI, web component or React integration.
Before you start
- A project using npm.
Steps
Choose the package matching the intended use:
@ckb-ccc/shellfor Node.js,@ckb-ccc/cccfor custom UI,@ckb-ccc/connectorfor a web component, or@ckb-ccc/connector-reactfor React.Install the chosen package with its documented command, the command below.
npm installImport the package exports from
@ckb-ccc/through thecccobject.
Expected outcome
The selected CCC package is installed and its standard exports can be imported into the project.
Guide limitations
- The advanced
/advancedentry point exposes interfaces that the README says are not stable.
Compare options for Wallet connections
These projects document a common task and share a project role. This is a source-based comparison, not an execution benchmark or a guarantee of interchangeability.
