Practical overview
When it fits
Use Atto when you want a compact command-line workflow for Nano account and transaction tasks, or need its basic Go node-interaction library. Its included offline-signing tool is an option for users who want to keep signing separate from node interaction.
Who it is for
- Nano holders who prefer managing accounts and transactions from a command line.
- Go developers seeking a rudimentary library for interacting with Nano nodes.
Documented uses
- Generate a Nano wallet seed and derive account addresses.
- Check a balance and receive receivable funds.
- Set or inspect an account representative.
- Send Nano with a confirmation prompt.
- Build a Go-based integration that communicates with Nano nodes.
Requirements & limits
The repository is public and specifies an MIT license. The project documents precompiled binaries and building from source; compiling requires Go 1.15 or higher.
- Seeds are supplied through standard input for account operations.
- The balance command receives receivable blocks automatically.
- Sending prompts for confirmation unless the
-yflag is used. - Account information from a node is validated using block signatures, while transaction signatures are created without node assistance.
- Atto writes no persistent data and keeps no local transaction history.
Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.
