Practical overview
When it fits
Use it when you want exchange data combined in a charted portfolio view, or when you want to build and modify the tracker from its public repository.
Who it is for
- Crypto holders who want an aggregated, charted view of assets across supported exchanges.
- Developers who want to run, modify or extend an open-source portfolio tracker.
Documented uses
- Import exchange account data into a portfolio view.
- See portfolio value and assets together in a stacked chart.
- Run or adapt the application in a self-managed environment.
Requirements & limits
The project documents a hosted app and a local setup. The repository is public and identifies an MIT license.
- Portfolio data and exchange API keys are stored in browser local storage; keys are used to communicate with exchanges.
- The documented local setup requires Node.js 10 or later and Yarn 1.22.
- The repository describes Dropbox and OneDrive sync as a planned future feature, not a current capability.
Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.
