Practical overview

When it fits

Use Astroport Core when you need contract-level AMM building blocks or want to inspect and build the components behind pool creation, swaps, routing and related tokenomics.

Who it is for

  • Developers building or adapting automated market-maker contracts.
  • Teams evaluating pool types, multi-hop routing or liquidity-reward and staking components.

Documented uses

  • Create pools through a factory and select among documented pool designs.
  • Route trades across multiple pools.
  • Distribute liquidity-provider incentives and manage fee-collection flows.
  • Build and test the repository's Rust smart contracts.
Before you choose

Source-based practical guide

Build and test Astroport Core contracts

Compile a contract, run the repository test suite, or create the documented optimized build.

Before you start

  • Rust 1.68.0 or later
  • The wasm32-unknown-unknown target installed

Steps

  1. From the directory of a contract, run the command below to compile it.

    Documented command
    cargo wasm
  2. From the repository root, run the command below to run tests for all contracts.

    Documented command
    cargo test
  3. From the repository root, run ./scripts/build_release.sh to create a production-oriented compressed build.

Expected outcome

The optimized contracts are generated in the artifacts/ directory. The README also describes a contract-level Wasm compilation workflow.

Guide limitations

  • The repository instructions do not establish deployment steps or network-specific compatibility.
