Pmm Sim

Pmm Sim is a Rust command-line simulation and benchmarking environment for swaps across supported Solana proprietary AMMs. It uses LiteSVM for local execution and supports direct off-chain calls as well as CPI calls from an on-chain router.

Practical overview

When it fits

Use Pmm Sim when you need a local Solana environment to test supported proprietary AMM swaps, compare routes or benchmark execution, including through a router CPI path.

Who it is for

  • Solana developers testing proprietary AMM swap behavior.
  • Developers measuring exchange rates and compute-unit usage across supported AMMs.
  • Teams exercising AMM routes through an on-chain router's CPI path.

Documented uses

  • Simulate a direct swap against one supported AMM.
  • Compare weighted routes across multiple AMMs or execute nested routes.
  • Benchmark supported AMM swaps and visualize benchmark data with the repository's plot.py script.
  • Fetch specified AMM accounts or programs through RPC and save them locally.

Requirements & limits

The public GitHub repository is licensed under MIT.

  • LiteSVM provides the local execution environment.
  • Supported integrations include HumidiFi swap v1/v2/v3, SolFi V2, Obric V2, ZeroFi, TesseraV, GoonFi and BisonFi.
  • Simulations use real-time accounts and programs by default; static local configuration is also available.
  • AMM responses may vary with CPI source and address whitelisting, so the spoofed CPI identity can affect a simulation's rates.
  • Additional AMM integrations require modification.

Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.

Source-based practical guide

Build the Pmm Sim release binary

Compile the Rust project into a release binary for subsequent CLI use.

Before you start

  • Rust and Cargo

Steps

  1. Obtain the Pmm Sim repository.

  2. From the project directory, run the command below.

    Documented command
    cargo build --release

Expected outcome

The documented build command produces the release binary at `target/release/pmm-sim`.

Guide limitations

  • This guide covers building only; it does not verify a successful build or configure a simulation.
