Practical overview
When it fits
Use it when you need a continuously polling command-line process to initiate auctions for undercollateralized fyDAI-ETH positions and attempt profitable participation.
Who it is for
- Operators building or running a keeper for Yield Protocol liquidation auctions.
- Developers familiar with Ethereum nodes, contract-address configuration and private-key-based transaction signing.
Documented uses
- Track borrower debt health and auction data as new blocks arrive.
- Trigger liquidation auctions for underwater positions.
- Attempt auction participation using Uniswap V2 flash-loan funds when the minimum-profit condition is met.
- Set a polling interval, persistence file and minimum profit per liquidation.
Requirements & limits
- The tool requires an Ethereum node endpoint and a private key for signing transactions.
- Its JSON configuration must identify the relevant Yield Protocol contracts, Uniswap V2 WETH/DAI pair and flash-loan contract.
- The README describes an event loop that refreshes data on each block and bumps gas prices for pending transactions.
- The README directs users to a test environment and recommends a 15-second polling interval for mainnet.
Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.
Build the liquidator and prepare its configuration
Compile the Rust CLI and prepare the files and settings it requires before running it.
Before you start
- Rust and Cargo
- Contract addresses for Controller, Liquidations, the Uniswap V2 WETH/DAI pair and the Flash loan contract
- An Ethereum node endpoint
- A private-key file; the key must not have a 0x prefix
Steps
Build a release binary with the command below.
cargo build --releaseCreate a JSON configuration file containing the required contract addresses.
Prepare a private-key file without a 0x prefix and choose the node URL, polling interval, persistence file and minimum-profit setting.
Expected outcome
A release binary and the configuration inputs needed to launch the CLI.
Guide limitations
- This covers documented build and configuration preparation, not successful execution or liquidation.
- The README recommends a 15-second interval for mainnet.
