Stellar Trade Contracts

Stellar Trade Contracts is a Rust workspace of Soroban smart contracts for a Stellar prediction-market prototype. Its crates cover pooled XLM YES/NO markets, position reductions, resolver-submitted outcomes and proportional payout claims or cancellation refunds, alongside referral fees, leaderboard records and STRD rewards.

Practical overview

When it fits

Use the workspace when developing or examining Soroban contracts for a pooled XLM prediction market and its supporting referral, leaderboard and reward-token components.

Who it is for

  • Rust and Stellar developers building or adapting Soroban prediction-market applications.
  • Teams reviewing or changing market accounting, referral distribution, leaderboard rewards or reward-token controls.

Documented uses

  • Create markets and record XLM stakes on YES or NO.
  • Reduce an existing position before market close.
  • Submit an outcome through an authorized resolver and enable payout claims, or process cancellation refunds.
  • Add bounded referral chains and referral-fee distribution.
  • Record participant points and win/loss results and authorize reward minting.

Requirements & limits

The repository is public and identifies the source as MIT-licensed. The README pins Rust 1.91.0 and the wasm32v1-none target.

  • Market outcomes are submitted by authorized resolvers; there is no automated oracle in the workspace.
  • Position reduction adjusts a participant's recorded side and is not a peer-to-peer sale, order book or short position.
  • Fresh deployments create new contract addresses and do not migrate existing token holders or balances.
  • The README calls for confirming network, contract IDs, admin identity, fee settings and resolver configuration before deployment.

Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.

Source-based practical guide

Run the documented workspace checks and build

Check the Rust workspace and build the prediction-market contract for the documented WASM target.

Before you start

  • The repository's pinned Rust 1.91.0 toolchain.
  • The wasm32v1-none target.

Steps

  1. Install the pinned Rust toolchain and wasm32v1-none target.

  2. From the repository root, run cargo test --workspace --all-features.

  3. Run cargo fmt --all -- --check and cargo clippy --workspace --all-features -- -D warnings.

  4. Build with cargo build --release --target wasm32v1-none -p prediction_market.

Expected outcome

The documented workspace checks are run and a release WASM build is requested for the prediction_market crate.

Guide limitations

  • These are README instructions, not a report of independently executed checks.
  • The commands build the prediction-market crate; they do not describe a deployment.
