Practical overview
When it fits
Use it when you need a customizable web application around a Solana Candy Machine V2 setup and can provide the required development tools, identifiers and network configuration.
Who it is for

- Teams adapting a Candy Machine V2 interface for a branded collection
- Projects exploring SOL or custom SPL-token marketplace configurations
Documented uses
- Connect a web interface to a Candy Machine V2 deployment
- Present public mints with documented whitelist, presale and end-condition settings
- Configure a marketplace for SOL or custom SPL-token payments
- Adapt the interface for single-NFT, multi-collection or multi-currency presentations
- Run the project locally and generate a production build
Requirements & limits
The repository is public, open source and licensed under Apache-2.0. The documented setup includes local development and a Vercel deployment option. No pricing or account requirement is documented.
- Candy Machine V2 is the core minting integration.
- The project supports both SOL and custom SPL-token marketplace configurations.
- Custom SPL-token setups require token name and decimal values.
- The documented development environment requires Node.js version 16 or earlier, Yarn, Solana CLI tools and the Metaplex CLI.
- The interface is customized through CSS variables, image assets, the HTML title and React page content.
Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.
Set up and run a Candy Machine V2 minting interface
Configure the application for a Candy Machine V2 deployment, run it locally and create a production build.
Before you start
- Node.js version 16 or earlier
- Yarn
- Solana Command Line Toolkit
- Metaplex Command Line Utility
- A Candy Machine V2 public key
Steps
Fork and clone the project.
Create a .env file and set REACT_APP_CANDY_MACHINE_ID, REACT_APP_SOLANA_NETWORK and REACT_APP_SOLANA_RPC_HOST.
If using a custom SPL token, also set REACT_APP_SPL_TOKEN_TO_MINT_NAME and REACT_APP_SPL_TOKEN_TO_MINT_DECIMALS.
Run yarn install, then yarn start for local development or yarn build to generate the production package.
Expected outcome
A locally runnable application and, after the build step, a production package in the build folder.
Guide limitations
- The instructions require Node.js version 16 or earlier; version 17 is not supported.
- The documented steps cover setup, local testing and building, but do not verify a live deployment.
- A custom SPL-token configuration requires additional token information.
