Understand the project

Practical overview

When it fits

Use it when miners are already running and you need Bash scripts for wallet setup, reward claims, balance checks, funding or transfers.

Who it is for

  • ORE miners who already run their mining processes and need scripts for related wallet operations.
  • Operators managing multiple miner wallets who want to check balances, distribute funds or move collected ORE.

Documented uses

  • Generate keypairs for miner wallets.
  • Claim ORE rewards and check miner balances.
  • Fund multiple miners from a funding wallet.
  • Transfer ORE from miners to a receiving wallet.
Before you choose

Requirements & limits

  • The project is a Bash CLI tool, not a miner launcher.
  • Setup requires private-key files for miner wallets and a funding/receiving wallet.
  • The README directs users to configure variables in the individual scripts.

Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.

Source-based practical guide

Prepare the wallet files and scripts

Set up the files and variables the scripts expect before running them.

Before you start

  • Miner private-key files, or the ability to generate wallets with generateWallets.sh
  • A wallet private key for receiving ORE and funding miners

Steps

  1. Place miner id.json files in the ids/ folder, or run generateWallets.sh.

  2. Add the receiving and funding wallet private key to claimed.json.

  3. Change variables in the scripts as needed.

  4. Run scripts in separate terminals or instances.

Expected outcome

The wallet files and script variables are prepared, and the scripts can be started in separate terminal instances.

Guide limitations

  • The miners must already be running; these scripts do not launch them.
