Practical overview
When it fits
Use Neoxa when evaluating a GPU-mined chain with gaming-related rewards, or when you need its documented Core software for wallet, daemon, asset or Smartnode workflows.
Who it is for
- GPU miners interested in participating in a KawPoW blockchain.
- Operators considering a Smartnode and its documented collateral requirement.
- Developers or users who want to issue native digital assets without writing a smart contract.
- Gamers and game-server operators exploring NEOX reward integrations.
Documented uses
- Install the Neoxa Core daemon or graphical wallet.
- Configure a first-run daemon and selectively enable indexes for supported lookup needs.
- Explore running a Smartnode, which locks 1,000,000 NEOX as collateral.
- Use the chain’s native asset protocol to issue, transfer, burn or restrict assets.
- Connect gaming activity to NEOX rewards through supported game-server integrations.
Requirements & limits
The Neoxa Core repository is public and specifies the MIT license. Its README provides precompiled wallet and daemon installation instructions for Windows 10/11, macOS and GNU/Linux.
- KawPoW is the documented proof-of-work consensus and GPU mining approach.
- The stated Smartnode collateral is 1,000,000 NEOX.
- Optional transaction, address, asset and spent-output indexes increase disk usage and initial sync time.
- The repository contains installation and node-operation documentation alongside the C++ Core software.
Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.
Configure a first-run Neoxa daemon
Create the minimum configuration file described for running the daemon for the first time.
Before you start
- Neoxa Core daemon.
- Access to the applicable configuration-file location: ~/.neoxacore/neoxa.conf on Linux or macOS, or %APPDATA%\NeoxaCore\neoxa.conf on Windows.
Steps
Create neoxa.conf in the documented location.
Add server=1 and listen=1.
Set rpcuser and rpcpassword values of your choice.
Set rpcallowip=127.0.0.1.
Expected outcome
The configuration file contains the minimum settings listed for first-time daemon operation.
Guide limitations
- Additional indexes are optional and increase disk use and initial synchronization time.
- The configuration instructions do not cover subsequent RPC use or daemon operation.
