Mobius Searcher

Mobius Searcher is an open-source Rust terminal application for researching Solana decentralized-exchange arbitrage. It obtains Jupiter route quotes, constructs Solana v0 transactions, simulates them on mainnet and displays route evaluations in a Ratatui interface. PAPER mode is the default and does not send transactions.

Understand the project

Practical overview

When it fits

Use it to study the execution feasibility and costs of Solana arbitrage routes in a simulation-first workflow, especially when you want to inspect unsuccessful evaluations as well as candidates.

Who it is for

  • Researchers examining Solana DEX arbitrage routes and transaction costs.
  • Developers who want to inspect route evaluation, transaction assembly and mainnet simulation in a terminal application.

Documented uses

  • Monitor potential DEX arbitrage routes and price them using Jupiter quotes.
  • Check candidate transactions through mainnet simulation before any possible submission.
  • Review why routes were skipped and inspect recorded evaluations through reports or replay.
Before you choose

Requirements & limits

The repository is public and carries an Apache-2.0 license. The README says PAPER mode can start without API keys, using keyless Jupiter access and the public Solana RPC by default. A user-provided keypair is required to unlock CONFIRM or LIVE transaction-sending modes.

  • PAPER mode simulates transactions but never sends them; CONFIRM and LIVE are separate, explicitly enabled modes.
  • The project reports zero executable opportunities at the default configuration in its documented evaluations, so its research purpose should not be read as a profit claim.
  • The terminal interface is built with Ratatui, and the application is written in Rust.
  • Sessions are recorded locally in SQLite and can be replayed or summarized in reports.

Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.

Source-based practical guide

Start a PAPER-mode research session

Launch the terminal application in its default mode to inspect and record Solana arbitrage evaluations without sending transactions.

Before you start

  • Install the mobius-searcher application using a method in the project installation documentation.
  • No API keys are required to start; keyless Jupiter access and the public Solana RPC are defaults.

Steps

  1. Run mobius-searcher --doctor to check configuration, secrets, proxy settings and endpoints.

  2. Run mobius-searcher and follow the first-run setup; PAPER is the default mode.

  3. Use mobius-searcher --report latest to view the latest report, or mobius-searcher --replay latest to replay the recording in the UI.

Expected outcome

A PAPER-mode session evaluates routes using real market data and mainnet simulation without sending transactions; its latest report or recording can be reviewed.

Guide limitations

  • PAPER mode does not send transactions.
  • The README reports zero executable opportunities at the default configuration in its reported evaluations.
