Source-based practical guide

Build Litemint from source

Create a local build of the Litemint web wallet using its documented build script.

Before you start

  • Litemint source downloaded from the repository’s releases.
  • Java 8 or higher.
  • Google Closure Compiler and YUI Compressor, with their paths available to the build script.

Steps

  1. Download the Litemint source from the repository’s releases.

  2. Set the COMPILER and COMPRESSOR environment variables to the paths of the compiler and compressor JAR files, or provide those paths using the build script’s command-line flags.

  3. Run ./build.sh from the project root; the documented default output directory is dist/.

Expected outcome

The build script produces a release build in the dist/ directory by default.

Guide limitations

  • This guide covers building the project, not running or deploying the resulting application.
  • Generating code documentation is optional and requires JSDoc.
