Understand the project

Practical overview

When it fits

Use Kleros V2 when a project needs an on-chain arbitration protocol, a developer path for connecting arbitrable applications, or tooling for court participation, indexed data or contract upkeep.

Who it is for

  • Developers building arbitrable applications that interact with the protocol’s arbitrator.
  • Jurors and parties using the court frontend for disputes.
  • Operators contributing to smart-contract upkeep by running the project’s bots.
  • Developers building tools around indexed protocol data.

Documented uses

  • Integrate an application with Kleros arbitration and display dispute and evidence information.
  • Provide a web court interface for jurors and dispute parties.
  • Index protocol data through the subgraph layer for application or analytics use.
  • Automate on-chain contract upkeep with project bots.

Requirements & limits

The source repository is public and specifies an MIT license. The README documents Node.js 16, Yarn, Volta and Docker Desktop for contributing and local development; the local-stack shortcut additionally lists tmux, curl, jq and lsof.

  • The repository separates contracts, court frontend, SDK, shared React utilities, subgraph and bots into distinct packages.
  • The SDK supports arbitrator interactions and rendering dispute and evidence information.
  • The upkeep bots require spending gas to contribute to upkeep operations.
  • The documented local full-stack workflow includes a Hardhat node and local graph node, so local development requires additional infrastructure beyond the web frontend.

Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.
