ClearLedger Soroban Contracts

ClearLedger Soroban Contracts is a Rust workspace of Soroban smart contracts that coordinates invoice-finance operations on Stellar. Its contracts manage participant verification, invoice lifecycle transitions, USDC liquidity pools and escrow, with interfaces and events for application and SDK integrations.

Practical overview

When it fits

Use it as the contract layer when building or integrating Stellar invoice-finance flows that need on-chain participant status, invoice state transitions, liquidity pools and escrow coordination.

Who it is for

  • Developers building invoice-finance applications on Stellar.
  • Teams integrating contract interfaces and events into an application or SDK.
  • Contributors working on Rust-based Soroban contracts or testnet deployments.

Documented uses

  • Store issuer and buyer profiles with verification status.
  • Create invoice records and enforce lifecycle transitions, including delivery confirmation and repayment.
  • Accept liquidity, issue transferable LP shares, fund eligible invoices and account for repayment.
  • Coordinate escrow during funding, including configured release and recovery operations.
  • Deploy and track separate pool instances by asset through the pool factory.
Before you choose

Requirements & limits

The README describes USDC contracts deployed on Stellar Testnet. It documents Rust 1.85.0, the wasm32v1-none target and Stellar CLI as development prerequisites. The repository specifies an MIT license.

  • The contracts coordinate on-chain state and token transfers but do not validate commercial documents or establish invoice legitimacy.
  • Attestation-gated listing depends on separately configuring the optional Underwrite agent registry integration.
  • The README reports that the contracts have not been formally audited and identifies an issuer payout path not yet wired into invoice funding.
  • The documented default deployment targets USDC; XLM deployment is experimental and opt-in.

Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.

Source-based practical guide

Prepare the Rust workspace for a Stellar Testnet deployment

Install the documented Rust components and configure the project’s testnet deployment before running its deployment scripts.

Before you start

  • Rust toolchain 1.85.0
  • The wasm32v1-none Rust target
  • Stellar CLI
  • A testnet deployer funded on Stellar Testnet
  • Project configuration based on .env.example

Steps

  1. Install Rust toolchain 1.85.0.

  2. Add the wasm32v1-none target for that toolchain.

  3. Configure .env using .env.example and fund a testnet deployer.

  4. Run bash scripts/setup-testnet.sh, then bash scripts/deploy.sh.

Expected outcome

The repository’s scripts are documented for setting up and deploying the contracts to testnet; the deployment process supports resumption and updates the address table.

Guide limitations

  • This describes the repository’s documented deployment procedure, not an independently executed deployment.
  • The default deployment targets the supported USDC workflow; XLM deployment is experimental and opt-in.
  • Contract addresses may change after redeployment. Review the deployment guide for address lifecycle, wiring, verification and rollback details.
  • The project reports that its contracts have not been formally audited and warns against using real funds or treating testnet assets as redeemable value.
