Practical overview
When it fits
Use it when a Candy Machine V2 has been created and a team needs a customizable frontend for sale details and mint timing.
Who it is for
- Solana NFT collection teams preparing a Candy Machine V2 sale page.
- Developers adapting a TypeScript frontend to display mint information and presale timing.
Documented uses
- Display a configured Candy Machine’s sale timing, price and supply.
- Set separate public and whitelist presale start times and timers.
- Refresh the displayed minted quantity every few seconds.
- Build a production frontend package from the project.
Requirements & limits
- The interface requires a Candy Machine ID and Solana RPC configuration.
- The README lists devnet, testnet and mainnet as network options.
- Custom SPL token payments require token name and decimal configuration.
- The repository uses TypeScript, Yarn and MUI v5 and is licensed under Apache-2.0.
Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.
Configure and build the sale interface
Set the Candy Machine connection and sale display values, then build the frontend package.
Before you start
- A Candy Machine V2 ID from a Metaplex project.
- A Solana network choice and RPC host.
- Yarn and the project files.
Steps
Set REACT_APP_CANDY_MACHINE_ID, REACT_APP_SOLANA_NETWORK and REACT_APP_SOLANA_RPC_HOST in the root .env file.
In constants.ts, set the public mint date, mint price and supply; add a whitelist presale date if applicable.
Run yarn install to install dependencies.
Run yarn build to generate the production package in the build folder.
Expected outcome
A production frontend package configured to display the sale information and timing.
Guide limitations
- The guide covers the interface configuration and build, not creating the Candy Machine.
- For custom SPL token mint payments, the README also calls for token name and decimal settings.
