Practical overview
When it fits
Use it when your collection assets and production workflow are in Blender and you want to automate generation in batches.
Who it is for
- 3D artists building generative NFT collections in Blender.
- Creators who need to generate multiple models, images or animations from a Blender-based collection workflow.
Documented uses
- Generate large sets of 3D models, images and animations in Blender.
- Prepare collection assets through a workflow that includes NFT data creation, generation, batch refactoring and metadata creation.
Requirements & limits
The repository describes the add-on as free to use and open source under GPL-3.0. It is a Blender desktop add-on.
- It operates inside Blender rather than as a standalone NFT marketplace or minting service.
- The README identifies Blender 3.2.2 with Windows 10 or macOS Big Sur 11.6; Linux support is not guaranteed by the maintainers, and Windows 11 was untested at the time of the documentation.
- The maintainers say Cycles, Eevee and Octane have been used with the add-on.
- The repository’s README outlines generation and metadata stages, while its installation instructions only cover enabling the add-on.
Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.
