Practical overview
When it fits
Use the full local wallet when a supported agent host needs wallet operations across the listed chains; use the separate remote MCP when the requirement is limited to its documented x402 and USDC payment functions.
Who it is for
- People connecting Codex, Claude Code, OpenClaw or Hermes to wallet tools.
- Developers using a local MCP client with standard stdio transport.
- MCP-host users seeking the separate, narrower x402 payment connector.
Documented uses
- View wallet balances and portfolio positions through an agent host.
- Send or receive supported assets and swap tokens.
- Access supported DeFi services and paid APIs through x402.
- Connect a local MCP client to the wallet runtime.
Requirements & limits
- The full wallet runtime is local and uses Node.js 24, npm and Python 3 for installation.
- The README lists Ethereum, Solana and Base for the wallet; its remote x402-only connector documents USDC payments on Base and basic USDC send/receive on Arc.
- The remote connector is distinct from the full wallet and lacks its Solana support, swaps and DeFi.
- Read operations and fund-moving operations have different handling: the latter remain subject to wallet policy and approval checks.

Compare options for Wallet connections
These projects document a common task and share a project role. This is a source-based comparison, not an execution benchmark or a guarantee of interchangeability.
