Practical overview
When it fits
Use it when an ADAMANT operation needs a CLI, a scriptable one-shot command, or a JSON-RPC interface, particularly when transactions should be signed locally before submission to configured nodes.
Who it is for
- Developers and operators who need command-line access to ADAMANT account, node and transaction operations.
- Teams or developers integrating Console's JSON-RPC methods into other languages and services.
- Script authors automating ADAMANT account queries, token transfers, delegation or voting.
Documented uses
- Check ADAMANT node height, version and status.
- Generate accounts and look up account, transaction, delegate or chat information.
- Send ADM tokens or messages, and vote for delegates.
- Expose Console operations through a JSON-RPC server.
Requirements & limits
Requires Node.js 22.13.0 or newer and npm 10 or newer. The public repository provides installation instructions using `npm ci`.
- The default network is testnet; configuration supports mainnet and testnet node lists.
- Interactive mode checks configured node health before its first command; one-shot commands skip this startup check.
- The JSON-RPC server listens on the configured RPC port.
- For JavaScript integrations requiring lower-level protocol features, typed DTOs, metadata, WebSocket subscriptions or advanced transaction handling, the project directs users to adamant-api.
Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.
Prepare Adamant Console for ADAMANT node operations
Install the CLI and create its local configuration for a selected ADAMANT network.
Before you start
- Node.js 22.13.0 or newer
- npm 10 or newer
Steps
Install dependencies with the command below in the repository.
npm ciCreate a user configuration by running the command below.
node bin/adamant.js initReview the configuration's network, node list and RPC port; the default network is testnet.
Expected outcome
A local Console configuration is created, ready for CLI use with its selected network and configured ADAMANT nodes.
Guide limitations
- This setup procedure does not demonstrate a successful connection or transaction.
- Changing the network to mainnet is intended for use with real ADM funds.
- Keep passphrases, private keys and local configuration files out of logs and shared terminals.
