Practical overview
When it fits
Consider it when you want to automate Poloniex lending and are prepared to set up and configure the application. Check the project documentation for currency support before proceeding.
Who it is for
- Poloniex users seeking to automate cryptocurrency lending offers.
- Developers or operators comfortable setting up a Node.js application locally or following the documented Heroku route.
Documented uses
- Run a bot that places lending offers on Poloniex.
- Configure the application through its web interface.
- Receive lending-rate guidance based on monitoring of active offers and average loan holding time.
Requirements & limits
The application code is identified as open source. The README documents local installation and a Heroku deployment route.
- The app receives lending rates from poloLending-Advisor; it does not calculate rates itself.
- The README describes a web interface, Telegram reports and configuration through the Settings tab.
- Its currency-support note says XMR, XRP, ETH and CLAM were temporarily suspended, without specifying the year.
- The README documents Node.js and npm for local setup.
Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.
Set up Pololender locally
Install the app, start it locally and reach its configuration screen.
Before you start
- Node.js
- Git
- A command-line environment
Steps
Clone the project repository and change into its directory.
Run npm install to install dependencies.
Run npm start to start the app.
Open http://localhost:5000 in a browser, enter the authentication token shown in the startup console, then open Settings.
Expected outcome
The local web interface is open at its Settings tab for configuration.
Guide limitations
- These steps describe setup and access to Settings, not a verified lending transaction.
- The README says lending-rate guidance comes from the separate poloLending-Advisor service.
- The README notes temporary suspensions for XMR, XRP, ETH and CLAM but does not specify the year of that note.
