Source-based practical guide

Configure and start Solana transfer monitoring

Set up the documented bot workflow to monitor selected addresses and send large-transfer alerts to Telegram.

Before you start

  • Node.js 14 or later and an internet connection
  • A Helius API key
  • A Telegram bot token and Telegram chat ID
  • Solana wallet addresses to monitor

Steps

  1. Set the Telegram bot token and chat ID in the .env file.

  2. Add the Helius API key, comma-separated monitored addresses, and minimum USD transfer amount to .env.

  3. Run the application with the command below.

    Documented command
    npm start

Expected outcome

The application connects to Helius WebSocket, monitors the configured addresses, records recipient addresses in a whales file, and sends Telegram notifications for transfers above the threshold.

Guide limitations

  • The documented transaction classification distinguishes direct SOL transfers from DEX transactions.
  • The README describes SOL and USDC monitoring; it does not establish support for other tokens.
