Practical overview
When it fits
Use it when you need a locally run, configurable batch workflow for acquiring Sepolia test ETH through the documented Arbitrum-to-Sepolia bridge route.
Who it is for
- Developers or testers who need Sepolia test ETH for configured accounts.
- Users who want to batch this bridge workflow with adjustable amounts, delays and parallel processing.
Documented uses
- Bridge test ETH from Arbitrum to Sepolia through the LayerZero testnet bridge.
- Set a minimum and maximum bridge amount from which a random ETH amount is selected.
- Process configured accounts in parallel and vary their start delays.
- Review separately saved success and failure account results.
Requirements & limits
The README specifies Python 3.10 or later and local command-line use. It requires account entries formatted as private keys or mnemonics in `config/accounts.txt`.
- The route uses the LayerZero testnet bridge from Arbitrum to Sepolia; the bridge website provides the exchange rate.
- The bridge amount is randomized within configured minimum and maximum bounds.
- Parallelism and per-account start-delay ranges are configurable.
- An Arbitrum RPC URL is configurable; the README says the default can be left in place if the user does not have one.
- The workflow requires sensitive wallet credentials in the account file, so credential handling is an important consideration.
Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.
Set up and run the Sepolia bridging script
Install the documented dependencies, configure accounts and bridge settings, and start the script.
Before you start
- Python 3.10 or later
- The project repository and a console
- Account entries in private-key or mnemonic format
Steps
Install dependencies with the command below.
pip install -r requirements.txtConfigure
config/settings.yaml, including amount bounds, parallel account count, delays and, if needed, an Arbitrum RPC URL.Add account entries to
config/accounts.txt.Run the command below from the repository console.
python run.py
Expected outcome
The script attempts the configured Sepolia test-token bridge workflow and saves reported successes and failures in separate files under `config`.
Guide limitations
- The exchange rate is determined by the bridge website and may change.
- The README does not describe additional handling or verification of bridge outcomes beyond the success and failure result files.
