Bindu

Bindu is open-source infrastructure that adds cryptographic identity, agent-to-agent communication and payment handling around AI agent handlers. It describes A2A messaging, signed JSON-RPC exchanges and x402 payments in USDC on EVM chains.

Practical overview

When it fits

Use Bindu when an agent needs an identity and a communication layer for interacting with other agents, or when you are building an agent service that needs the described x402 payment flow.

Who it is for

  • Developers connecting AI agents to other agents through A2A.
  • Teams adding identity and signed messaging to agent workflows.
  • Builders exploring paid agent services using x402 and USDC.

Documented uses

  • Wrap an existing agent handler with Bindu's identity and communication layer.
  • Exchange signed JSON-RPC messages between agents.
  • Expose a local agent through the documented FRP tunnel option.
  • Set up an agent to request USDC payment before performing work.

Requirements & limits

The project is open source and its GitHub repository is public. The documented Python setup requires Python 3.12 or later and uv.

  • The Python quickstart requires Python 3.12+ and uv.
  • The README describes Python, TypeScript and Kotlin SDKs sharing a gRPC core; the provided quickstart details Python and TypeScript.
  • The example agent requires a model-provider API key, with OpenAI used in the shown code.
  • The README presents A2A for agent communication and x402 for USDC payments on EVM chains.

Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.

Source-based practical guide

Set up Bindu for a Python agent

Install Bindu and prepare the documented Python quickstart prerequisites.

Before you start

  • Python 3.12 or later
  • uv
  • An API key for OpenRouter, OpenAI or MiniMax to run the README examples

Steps

  1. Install Bindu with the command below.

    Documented command
    uv add bindu
  2. Prepare an agent handler that accepts a list of messages and returns a response.

  3. Use the documented bindufy() configuration pattern to provide agent metadata, a deployment URL and the handler.

Expected outcome

Bindu is installed and the documented integration pattern is ready to connect to an agent handler.

Guide limitations

  • The quickstart example uses an OpenAI API key and Agno; the README names other providers for running examples.
  • The steps describe installation and configuration, not a separately verified deployment.
