Practical overview
When it fits
Use the library when a Claude-based workflow needs reusable, structured guidance for a specific brand or website task, or when related skills should connect across project stages.
Who it is for
- People building or launching a brand website who want structured Claude guidance across design, content and development.
- Website teams working on SEO, accessibility, performance, quality assurance or launch operations.
- Product and growth practitioners seeking reusable guidance for experimentation, feature launches and research.
Documented uses
- Develop a coherent brand or creative direction that downstream design and content work can follow.
- Plan and produce website content, including SEO-related work.
- Review or optimize a website through SEO, accessibility, performance and QA workflows.
- Support product experimentation, feature launches, operations, growth and UX research.
Requirements & limits
The repository is public and displays an MIT license. Claude.ai custom Skills require a plan that supports them; the repository also documents Claude Code, Anthropic API, pi and Codex routes.
- The catalog contains 103 skills across 16 categories, with 490 reference files described in the repository.
- Most skills are described as stack-agnostic; the SEO audit suite assumes Ahrefs MCP.
- Claude.ai setup depends on custom Skills being supported by the user’s plan.
- Installation differs by platform: Claude Code uses skill directories or plugins, Claude.ai uses ZIP uploads, and the API route requires workspace upload and skill IDs.
Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.
Install the skills in Claude Code
Add selected skills to a Claude Code user or project skills directory so they load automatically.
Before you start
- Claude Code
- A local copy of the repository or its skills directory
- macOS/Linux shell or Windows PowerShell for the corresponding documented commands
Steps
For user-level skills on macOS or Linux, create ~/.claude/skills and copy the repository’s skills/* into it; on Windows, use the documented PowerShell directory and copy commands.
For project-level use, copy the desired skill folders into .claude/skills in the project.
Start or restart Claude Code so it picks up the skills.
Expected outcome
The installed skills are available at user level across projects or only within the project directory, depending on the chosen location.
Guide limitations
- The guide points readers to Claude Code documentation for current paths and configuration flags.
- The documented commands cover copying skill folders; they do not describe running a website task.
Upload a skill to Claude.ai
Make an individual skill available in Claude.ai by uploading its folder as a ZIP.
Before you start
- A Claude.ai plan that supports custom Skills
- A ZIP containing one skill folder with SKILL.md and its references/ subfolder
Steps
Open Settings → Capabilities → Skills in Claude.ai.
Upload the ZIP for the skill folder you want.
Enable the skill in the chat interface.
Expected outcome
Claude can load the enabled skill automatically when a request matches its description.
Guide limitations
- Plan support and the exact upload interface may vary; the repository directs users to Anthropic’s current Skills user guide.
- The documented process uploads one skill folder per ZIP.
