  • Developers building a single-asset chart page with candlesticks or technical indicators.

Before you choose

Requirements & limits

The repository is public and lists an MIT license.

  • The examples load TradingView widget scripts; the widgets are supplied through TradingView.
  • Snippets provide individual widget configurations. Combining ticker and chart examples into one dashboard is a likely-compatible adaptation, but the repository does not demonstrate that combined implementation.
  • The candlestick example includes RSI and Stochastic RSI studies, while the ticker examples list BTC, ETH and IOTA symbols.

Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.

Source-based practical guide

Embed a cryptocurrency ticker in an HTML page

Add a TradingView ticker widget displaying the documented BTC, ETH, and IOTA market symbols.

Before you start

  • An HTML page or snippet location where the widget markup can be added.
  • The TradingView ticker embed script and widget configuration shown in the repository README.

Steps

  1. Add a tradingview-widget-container element with a tradingview-widget-container__widget child and the documented TradingView attribution link.

  2. Include the TradingView embed-widget-tickers.js script with the documented symbol configuration for COINBASE:BTCUSD, COINBASE:ETHUSD, and BINANCE:IOTAUSD.

  3. Set the documented widget options, including the dark color theme, opaque background, and English locale.

  4. Place the markup in the page where the ticker should appear.

Expected outcome

The HTML contains a configured TradingView cryptocurrency ticker widget for the three listed symbols.

Guide limitations

  • The README provides an embed snippet but does not document a build, deployment, or verification procedure.
  • The example uses fixed symbols; the source does not describe how to obtain or validate other symbols.

  4. Place the complete widget markup in the page where the chart should appear.

Expected outcome
