Practical overview
When it fits
Use Vue Dapp when building a Vue or Nuxt dApp that needs an integrated wallet connection interface and visible connection details.
Who it is for
- Vue developers adding wallet connection and account-state interfaces to Ethereum dApps.
- Nuxt developers integrating wallet connection flows into dApps.
Documented uses
- Let users connect or disconnect a browser wallet from a Vue interface.
- Offer a wallet-selection modal as part of a dApp connection flow.
- Show connection status, errors, chain ID and wallet address.
- Add the documented Nuxt module setup to a Nuxt dApp.
Requirements & limits
The project is identified as open source under the MIT license.
- The Vue setup requires Pinia in addition to the core and modal packages.
- The Nuxt setup adds @pinia/nuxt and @vue-dapp/nuxt and registers both modules.
- WalletConnect and Coinbase Wallet integrations are provided as separate packages.
Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.
Set up a wallet connection flow in Vue
Add the documented core and modal packages and wire a browser-wallet connection interface into a Vue app.
Before you start
- A Vue application
- Pinia
Steps
Install pinia, @vue-dapp/core and @vue-dapp/modal.
Register Pinia with the Vue app using createPinia().
Import BrowserWalletConnector and useVueDapp from @vue-dapp/core, and VueDappModal and useVueDappModal from @vue-dapp/modal.
Register the browser connector, open the modal for connection, and render the modal and wallet status fields as shown in the README.
Expected outcome
A documented Vue interface pattern for connecting or disconnecting and displaying connection status, errors, chain ID and wallet address.
Guide limitations
- The instructions describe setup and example code; they do not establish compatibility with every wallet or application.
- The example uses a browser wallet connector; WalletConnect and Coinbase Wallet are separate integrations.
Register Vue Dapp modules in Nuxt
Set up the documented Nuxt packages and module registration for a Nuxt dApp.
Before you start
- A Nuxt application
- Pinia
Steps
Install pinia, @pinia/nuxt, @vue-dapp/core, @vue-dapp/nuxt and @vue-dapp/modal.
Add @pinia/nuxt and @vue-dapp/nuxt to the Nuxt modules configuration.
Expected outcome
The documented Nuxt module setup is in place for continuing with Vue Dapp integration.
Guide limitations
- The README's Nuxt instructions cover package installation and module registration, not a complete connection-flow example.
Compare options for Wallet connections
These projects document a common task and share a project role. This is a source-based comparison, not an execution benchmark or a guarantee of interchangeability.
