Practical overview
When it fits
Use it when a Solana trading application needs the SDK’s routed swap instruction and is prepared to deploy and initialize the matching on-chain router program.
Who it is for
- Developers building Solana trading clients or services.
- Teams that maintain pool snapshots from parser events or a local cache and want to construct routed swaps.
Documented uses
- Construct multi-hop swaps across supported Solana DEX pools.
- Package swaps through one router CPI and optionally configure a platform fee.
- Use pool snapshots sourced from parser events or a local cache to avoid pool-data RPC calls on the hot path.
Requirements & limits
- The SDK and router program have separate roles: integrators must deploy and initialize the matching program themselves.
- Pool snapshots can come from sol-parser-sdk events or a local cache; the README describes no RPC calls for pool data on the hot path.
- The README directs users to the Git main branch until the prepared crates.io version is published.
- The documented pinned Yellowstone dependencies have an upstream Windows import limitation; release checks target Unix.
- A zero fee_bps setting skips the platform-fee transfer according to the project documentation.
Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.
Add Sol Trade Router SDK as a Rust dependency
Include the router client crate in a Rust project using the repository’s main branch.
Before you start
- A Rust project with a Cargo.toml manifest.
Steps
Add the sol-trade-router-sdk dependency under [dependencies] in Cargo.toml, using the repository URL, branch = "main", and package = "sol-trade-router-sdk".
If the project directly imports parser types for streaming bots, also add sol-parser-sdk = "=0.7.12".
Use re-exported trading types from sol_trade_router_sdk::*; add sol-trade-sdk separately only if a needed symbol is not re-exported.
Expected outcome
The Rust project declares the router SDK dependency and, optionally, the parser SDK for direct parser-type imports.
Guide limitations
- Version 0.2.0 is described as prepared for crates.io; until publication, the README directs users to the main Git branch.
- Adding the SDK does not deploy or upgrade the on-chain router. A matching router deployment and its program ID are required for use; examples require ROUTER_PROGRAM_ID.
- The pinned Yellowstone dependencies have an upstream Windows import limitation; release checks target Unix.
