Practical overview

When it fits

Use RecruitOps when coordinating a campus-hiring search that spans multiple company portals, applications and recruitment messages, especially when a consolidated application-stage view is useful.

Who it is for

  • Campus-hiring applicants who want to manage role research and application follow-up in one workspace.
  • Job seekers who want resume-based role matching and a tracked view of application stages.

Documented uses

  • Find campus roles from recruitment sources, filter listings by title keywords and enrich selected job descriptions.
  • Parse a resume into skills, project summaries and search keywords, then review role match scores and explanations.
  • Open recruiting pages in the built-in browser, prepare reliably recognized form fields and record applications.
  • Synchronize recruitment messages over IMAP and organize dated hiring events as calendar items or tasks.
  • Review application progress using saved records, recruitment emails and official status pages.
Before you choose

Requirements & limits

The packaged desktop application is documented for 64-bit Windows 10 or 11. Its setup requires network access to a model API and recruitment sites; email synchronization also requires IMAP access. The desktop package does not require users to install Docker, Python, Node.js, PostgreSQL or a browser extension separately.

  • The documented model connection uses DeepSeek's official API and requires an API key; resume parsing, role scoring, email understanding and the assistant use the active model connection.
  • Resume inputs are text-based PDF, TXT or Markdown files up to 10 MB; scanned PDFs without a text layer need conversion before analysis.
  • Email synchronization is read-only IMAP. Accounts that support only OAuth2 and do not allow IMAP app passwords are listed as unsupported in the documented version.
  • Application form filling is limited to fields the browser can reliably identify; users handle login challenges, review entries and submit applications themselves.
  • Daily automation requires RecruitOps to remain running; missed scheduled times are not represented as completed runs.

Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.

Source-based practical guide

Set up the RecruitOps Windows desktop app

Prepare RecruitOps for a first use by installing the desktop package and completing its initial configuration.

Before you start

  • A 64-bit Windows 10 or Windows 11 computer; at least 8 GB of memory and 3 GB of free disk space are recommended.
  • Network access to the model API, recruitment sites, and an email IMAP service.
  • A DeepSeek API key.
  • A text-based résumé in PDF, TXT, or Markdown format, no larger than 10 MB.
  • For email setup, an IMAP-enabled account and its authorization code or app-specific password.

Steps

  1. Download the RecruitOps desktop ZIP and extract the complete archive to a writable, short path. Keep the original directory structure intact; do not run it from the archive preview or copy only the executable.

  2. Launch RecruitOps-Desktop-Preview.exe. In the Configuration page, add or edit a model connection, use the official DeepSeek endpoint and a supported model, test the connection, then save it.

  3. Upload a text-based résumé, analyze it, review and edit the generated job-filter keywords, and save them. Select the desired OfferBiu industry categories for company-source coverage.

  4. If configuring recruitment email, enable IMAP with the email provider, enter the account address, authorization code or app-specific password, and folder in RecruitOps, then test and save the connection. Finish by selecting “Save and complete initial configuration.”

Expected outcome

The desktop app is installed and its initial model, résumé-keyword, and industry settings are configured; email is also configured if that optional step was completed.

Guide limitations

  • The documented desktop requirements are Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit; Docker, Python, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and a browser extension are not required for the desktop package.
  • Only the official DeepSeek API connection is supported for model setup; third-party OpenAI-compatible services are not supported.
  • A scanned PDF without a text layer must first be converted to a text-readable PDF.
  • Gmail and Outlook accounts that support only OAuth2 and do not allow IMAP app passwords are not supported in the current version.

Discover and review campus-recruitment jobs

Use the configured assistant to run a job-fetching and scoring cycle, then review the resulting roles.

Before you start

  • RecruitOps is installed and initial configuration is complete, including a model connection, résumé keywords, and industry scope.
  • The computer can access recruitment websites and the model API.

Steps

  1. Open the Job Assistant and ask it to complete a full job fetch and scoring run; the documented example is “Complete a full job fetch and scoring run.”

  2. Open the campus recruitment jobs workspace and filter roles by company, job type, recruitment platform, scoring status, or match score.

  3. Open a role’s details to review its saved job description, match summary, strengths, and areas to improve.

Expected outcome

RecruitOps processes available company sources and roles, applies résumé-based matching, and presents job listings and match details for review.

Guide limitations

  • Results depend on available recruitment sources and accessible recruitment websites; source pages that are login pages, questionnaires, or otherwise not directly fetchable may be excluded.
  • Job-title keywords determine which roles proceed to further job-description completion and scoring.
  • The README documents this workflow but does not guarantee that every source will be fetchable or every role will have complete job-description details.
