Practical overview
When it fits
Use Skandha when you need to operate or integrate an ERC-4337 bundler and can manage its RPC, EntryPoint and relayer configuration.
Who it is for
- Ethereum wallet teams adding account-abstraction bundling to a backend.
- Developers operating an ERC-4337 bundler service for smart-wallet applications.
- Infrastructure engineers selecting a bundler implementation for a specific EntryPoint version.
Documented uses
- Run a standalone bundler against a configured Ethereum RPC endpoint.
- Configure relayers and EntryPoint contracts for an account-abstraction service.
- Choose an implementation line matching EntryPoint 0.6.0, 0.7.0 or 0.8.0.
- Adjust bundling mode, bundle sizing, gas-price enforcement and optional metrics through configuration and CLI options.
Requirements & limits
- Skandha v1 supports EntryPoint 0.6.0, v2 supports 0.7.0, and v3 supports 0.8.0.
- The README documents both source-based and Docker deployment paths.
- Bundling can be set to manual or automatic; the documented default is automatic.
- Prometheus metrics are configurable and disabled by default.
- The README warns that the repository and software are under active development.
Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.
Build and configure Skandha from source
Prepare a source-built standalone bundler and configure its service settings.
Before you start
- Bun, used for dependency installation and building
- An RPC endpoint and configured EntryPoint
- Relayer credentials in the configuration
Steps
Install dependencies with
bun install, then runbun installin./node_modules/bcryptofor the documented bcrypto patch.Build with
bun build.Copy
config.json.defaulttoconfig.jsonand edit the configuration, including EntryPoint, relayer and RPC endpoint.Start the service with
./skandha standalone; the README identifies its RPC address ashttp://localhost:14337/rpc/.
Expected outcome
A standalone Skandha bundler configured to connect to the specified RPC endpoint.
Guide limitations
- The repository describes the software as under active development.
- The optional local geth node is described as a development option, not a requirement.
- The documented v0.7 version does not support the P2P shared mempool.
