Qcore.js

Qcore.js is a JavaScript and WebAssembly client SDK for Quantova that derives accounts, creates Q1 addresses, signs transactions and connects applications to Quantova nodes. It is generated over a Rust core and is designed to run the same compiled core in browser and Node environments.

Understand the project

Practical overview

When it fits

Use Qcore.js when a JavaScript application needs to derive Quantova accounts, create post-quantum addresses and submit signed transactions through a Quantova client.

Who it is for

  • JavaScript developers building Quantova wallet clients.
  • Teams integrating Quantova signing into browser, browser-extension or Node applications.
  • Builders creating Quantova dApp interfaces, block-explorer front ends or faucet pages.

Documented uses

  • Generate account keys and Q1 addresses from a master seed.
  • Sign Quantova transactions using the compiled client core.
  • Construct transaction requests for a Quantova gateway.
  • Share wallet and signing logic across browser and Node environments.
Before you choose

Requirements & limits

The public repository specifies an Apache-2.0 licence. The documented quickstart installs the @quantovainc/qcore npm package and connects to a Quantova testnet gateway.

  • The SDK uses ML-DSA-65 as its default signing scheme and also documents SLH-DSA as scheme two.
  • Q1 addresses bind the full module lattice public key through a SHA3-256-derived Bech32m address.
  • The same compiled core is documented for browser and Node use.
  • Applications choose a maximum fee, and the client refuses to sign when the gateway reports a higher fee.
  • The quickstart requires testnet funding and one-time account key registration before a transfer.

Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.

Source-based practical guide

Set up a Quantova testnet transfer client

Install Qcore.js, derive testnet addresses, fund an account, register its key and submit the documented transfer.

Before you start

  • JavaScript or Node environment with npm.
  • The @quantovainc/qcore package.
  • A Quantova testnet gateway and access to its documented faucet endpoint.
  • A seed that can be kept as the account backup.

Steps

  1. Install @quantovainc/qcore with npm.

  2. Generate a seed and derive the sender and recipient Q1 addresses with core.address.

  3. Create a testnet Client, claim testnet funds for the sender and wait for the balance to arrive.

  4. Register the sender key, wait until the account reports has_key, then call client.transfer with decimal-string or BigInt amounts and a chosen maximum fee.

Expected outcome

The documented quickstart produces a signed Quantova testnet transfer and prints its transaction identifier and verdict.

Guide limitations

  • The example uses the public testnet gateway and testnet faucet.
  • The account registration is a transaction that requires a fee and must complete before sending.
  • The package states that it is at the testnet and pre-audit stage.
  • Remote gateways require HTTPS; plaintext HTTP is allowed only for a loopback node.
