Practical overview
When it fits
Use it when an application needs programmatic ADAMANT blockchain access and backend-oriented primitives in TypeScript or Node.js.
Who it is for
- Node.js developers building ADAMANT blockchain services
- Teams creating bots, monitors, and backend integrations
- Developers needing transaction, messaging, or WebSocket primitives
Documented uses
- Read ADAMANT account, block, and transaction data
- Construct, hash, sign, and calculate transaction IDs
- Encrypt and decrypt blockchain messages
- Subscribe to incoming transactions, new blocks, and account balance changes
- Derive and validate selected external wallet addresses
Requirements & limits
The repository is public and identified with a GPL-3.0 license. The documented runtime requirement is Node.js 22 or newer; package installation uses npm, pnpm, or another supported package manager.
- Node.js 22 or newer is required.
- The SDK supports ADAMANT functionality through modular package entry points.
- Node health checks, height-aware selection, retries for suitable requests, and normalized errors are built into the documented API behavior.
- External coin functionality is limited to metadata, deterministic key/address derivation, and address validation.
- Applications remain responsible for handling errors and protecting sensitive values from logs.
Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.
Install the SDK and prepare an ADAMANT API client
Set up the package and configure an ADAMANT client with health checks and node selection.
Before you start
- Node.js 22 or newer
- npm, pnpm, or another supported package manager
- Configured ADAMANT node URLs
Steps
Install the package with the documented package-manager command.
Import AdamantApi from the package root or the ADM entry point.
Create an AdamantApi instance with configured nodes, startup health checks, and an inclusive minimum node version.
Use the documented readiness callback to request blockchain data and check the returned success field before reading response data.
Expected outcome
A configured Node.js client can request ADAMANT data while using the SDK's node health and response-handling mechanisms.
Guide limitations
- The guide covers client setup and a documented data request pattern, not a deployment or production compatibility guarantee.
- Applications must handle returned errors and should provide several independently operated HTTPS nodes for resilience.
