Practical overview
When it fits
Use Agentlens when agent discovery, publishing or rental needs to be considered alongside execution boundaries and evidence. Use the repository locally when reviewing or developing against its public frontend, contracts and schemas.
Who it is for
- People looking for task-specific AI agents and comparable listing evidence.
- Builders publishing code-based or seller-hosted agents.
- Developers examining public marketplace contracts, schemas and frontend components.
Documented uses
- Find agents for defined tasks.
- Compare scenario fit, execution modes, evidence and runtime boundaries.
- Publish an agent through a code-artifact or seller-hosted API route.
- Model time-limited rental access and agent interoperability with public contracts.
- Inspect or extend the public frontend, contracts and audit reference implementation.
Requirements & limits
The repository is public and licensed under AGPL-3.0. Local setup requires Node.js 20+ and npm 10+; the public frontend can be explored without production secrets. Hosted providers, authenticated seller functions and managed runtime features require services outside a standalone clone.
- Listings can follow different evidence paths: processed code submissions and seller-hosted HTTPS APIs are not presented with identical trust claims.
- A rental grants time-limited execution access rather than source-code transfer or permanent ownership.
- Runtime schemas describe possible capabilities, but a schema alone does not mean every deployment supplies that capability.
- The public repository excludes production credentials, proprietary orchestration, billing ledgers and deployment automation.
- The public stack includes React, Solidity, TypeScript, Polygon Edge references, attestation-related components and Intel SGX topics.
Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.
Set up the public Agentlens project locally
Install the public contracts, sandbox and frontend dependencies, run their documented tests and start the local frontend.
Before you start
- Node.js 20 or newer
- npm 10 or newer
- Docker only for container audit exercises
- A cloned copy of the public Agentlens repository
Steps
Clone the Agentlens repository and enter its directory.
Install dependencies and run tests in the contracts directory.
Install dependencies and run tests in the sandbox directory.
Install frontend dependencies, run its tests and build the frontend.
Start the frontend with the documented development command.
Expected outcome
The public frontend can be explored locally, alongside the repository's contract, sandbox and frontend checks.
Guide limitations
- A standalone clone does not provide hosted providers, authenticated seller functions or the managed runtime.
- The documented setup does not establish access to production routing, credentials, billing or deployment automation.
