Practical overview

When it fits

Use Vigla when a coding task benefits from parallel agent workers but still needs centralized supervision, submission auditing and a reversible merge outcome.

Who it is for

  • Developers coordinating several coding-agent workers
  • Teams that want a shared operations view for parallel coding tasks
  • Users of Claude Code, Codex CLI, Antigravity or profile-backed CLI workers

Documented uses

  • Assign a coding mission within defined authority, scope, risk and quality bounds
  • Run workers in parallel isolated worktrees
  • Review worker submissions and their diffs, tests and status
  • Inspect a structured mission verdict
  • Revert an accepted mission through Git
Before you choose

Requirements & limits

The documented local workflow targets macOS 12+ and requires Rust 1.95, Node 22, pnpm 10 and Xcode Command Line Tools. A read-only browser replay is documented without an account, vendor CLI, credential or network-backed agent.

  • Each worker receives an isolated Git worktree, reducing direct workspace overlap during parallel execution.
  • The supervisor can propose a plan in review mode and judge submissions against an authority envelope.
  • Mission results include audit, testing, changed-file and residual-risk information.
  • Rollback is documented as a normal Git revert of the accepted mission.
  • The local mock demonstration makes real repository changes and is therefore not a no-change dry run.

Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.

Source-based practical guide

Run Vigla’s credential-free mock mission locally

Set up Vigla on macOS and run the documented mock supervisor against a Git repository.

Before you start

  • macOS 12+
  • Rust 1.95 via rustup
  • Node 22
  • pnpm 10
  • Xcode Command Line Tools

Steps

  1. Clone the Vigla repository, enter its directory and install dependencies with pnpm using the frozen lockfile.

  2. Run the documented development script to open the Operations Room window.

  3. In Deploy Workers, describe the work and choose a Git repository.

  4. Expand Advanced, select Mock (demo) as the Supervisor, and start the mission.

  5. Review the pending merge decision and choose Merge or Discard from the mission overlay.

Expected outcome

The mock supervisor runs a complete credential-free mission flow and stops at a merge-or-discard decision after creating real branches, worktrees, files and commits.

Guide limitations

  • The mock runtime does not launch a vendor CLI, read credentials or spend tokens.
  • It demonstrates only a clean first pass and cannot produce blocked, failed, retry-exhausted or quota-exhausted trajectories.
  • The mock runtime does not pause for plan approval.
  • The documentation recommends using a scratch repository or a branch that can be changed.
