Practical overview
When it fits
Use the repository when researching UXD’s Solana program or preparing to work with its account and instruction design. For client-side interaction, consult the separately identified UXD Client and account for the README’s note that program and client versions are expected to pair.
Who it is for
- Developers inspecting or integrating with the UXD on-chain program.
- Readers seeking the program’s instruction organization and architecture references.
Documented uses
- Inspect the program’s smart-contract code and instruction directories.
- Understand that minting and redemption are associated with delta-neutral DEX positions.
- Identify the separate permissioned and permissionless instruction groups.
- Find the program addresses listed for mainnet-beta and devnet.
Requirements & limits
The repository lists program addresses for Solana mainnet-beta and devnet. The devnet address is identified as used by CI.
- The codebase uses Anchor and locates the program under programs/uxd/.
- The README describes both permissioned instructions called by the project’s DAO and permissionless instructions.
- UXD Client is a separate open-source TypeScript client, and the README says each program version is expected to pair with a specific client version.
- The repository links to separate UXDProtocol and UXDProgram documentation for high-level concepts and program architecture.
Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.
Run UXD Program Rust unit tests
Build the program and run its Rust and BPF test suites.
Before you start
- A local checkout of the UXD-Program repository.
- Rust, Cargo, and the Solana BPF build and test tooling required by the repository.
Steps
From the repository directory, run the command below.
cargo test && cargo build-bpf && cargo test-bpfReview the test results in the command output.
Expected outcome
The Rust unit tests, BPF build, and BPF tests have been run.
Guide limitations
- This recipe covers the Rust and BPF test commands only; it does not configure a client or exercise minting and redemption.
Run UXD Program end-to-end tests
Build, deploy, and run the repository's end-to-end test suite.
Before you start
- A local checkout of the UXD-Program repository.
- Anchor and the repository's test environment configured.
Steps
From the repository directory, optionally run
./scripts/reset_program_id.shto reset the program ID in the files where it is used.Run
anchor testto build, deploy, and run the tests. To rerun tests against the already deployed program without registering Rust code changes, run
anchor test --skip-build --skip-deploy. If Rust code has changed, runanchor testagain.
Expected outcome
The Anchor end-to-end test suite runs against the program; the first full run builds and deploys it.
Guide limitations
- The skip-build and skip-deploy option is intended for reruns without Rust code changes.
- The README says resetting the program ID can provide a clean slate; it does not describe individual test cases or their expected assertions.
