Practical overview
When it fits
Use TokenF when building EVM smart contracts for permissioned ERC-20-compatible or ERC-721-compatible assets and you need configurable interaction rules or modular contract behavior.
Who it is for
- Solidity developers building permissioned real-world-asset tokens on EVM networks.
- Teams that need configurable compliance checks or custom modules in ERC-20-compatible or ERC-721-compatible contracts.
Documented uses
- Create an equity-token contract using the TokenF base.
- Create a land or property NFT contract using the NFTF base.
- Configure token interaction checks, hooks and behavior.
- Extend token logic with custom compliance modules.
Requirements & limits
The contracts are available as the NPM package `@tokenf/contracts` and the repository states that the framework is released under the MIT License.
- The framework supports ERC-20- and ERC-721-compatible assets; its README says ERC-1155 is not supported.
- The ERC-2535 Diamond architecture and plug-in compliance modules support extensible contract designs.
- The project describes itself as early-stage and anticipates breaking changes.
Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.
Install the TokenF contracts package and start a contract
Add the package to a project and use the documented TokenF or NFTF contract base.
Before you start
- A development project that can install NPM packages.
- Solidity compiler support for the documented pragma, ^0.8.21.
Steps
Install the package with the command below.
npm install @tokenf/contractsImport
TokenFfrom@tokenf/contracts/TokenF.solorNFTFfrom@tokenf/contracts/NFTF.sol.Define a contract that inherits from the selected base, following the README's EquityToken or LandNft examples.
Expected outcome
The project has the TokenF contracts package and a Solidity contract using one of its documented base contracts.
Guide limitations
- The README example leaves the contract implementation as a placeholder; it does not provide a complete deployable token here.
- The repository warns that the framework is early-stage and breaking changes are foreseen.
