Practical overview
When it fits
Use it when a Flutter application needs Dart-level access to Stellar transaction workflows, Horizon data, Soroban RPC, or the project's documented SEP and smart-account integrations.
Who it is for
- Flutter and Dart developers building applications that use Stellar transactions or ledger data.
- Teams adding Soroban smart-contract interactions to a Flutter app.
- Developers implementing documented smart-account or anchor integration features.
Documented uses
- Construct and sign a Stellar payment or asset-trust transaction.
- Query Stellar data through Horizon.
- Invoke Soroban smart-contract methods through RPC.
- Add documented smart-account features such as passkeys or multi-signer authorization.
Requirements & limits
The SDK is publicly available on GitHub under the MIT license.
- The documented minimum versions are Dart 3.8.0 and Flutter 3.32.0.
- iOS apps need a deployment target of 15.0 or higher; smart-account passkey calls require iOS 16 at runtime.
- The repository documents Flutter web support from version 3.0.0.
- Built-in support for 21 SEPs is relevant to apps communicating with anchors and external services.
Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.
Add the SDK to a Flutter project
Declare the package dependency and fetch it for a Flutter app.
Before you start

- Flutter >=3.32.0
Steps
Add
stellar_flutter_sdk: ^3.8.0underdependenciesin the app'spubspec.yaml.Run
flutter pub get.
Expected outcome
The SDK dependency is declared and Flutter packages are fetched for the project.
Guide limitations
- This covers package setup only, not application configuration or a completed Stellar operation.
