Practical overview
When it fits
Use it when building a Python workflow for SOL-pair swaps on Raydium AMM v4 or CPMM pools and you can supply a pool ID, private key and RPC endpoint.
Who it is for
- Python developers building tools or services for SOL-pair swaps on Raydium.
- Bot builders who can configure an RPC endpoint and Base58-format private key.
Documented uses
- Submit swaps through Raydium AMM v4 or CPMM pools.
- Fetch pool IDs through included RPC methods.
- Use the library as a component in a command-line utility, Python service or trading bot.
Requirements & limits
- A pool ID, not a token mint address, is required for each swap.
- Only SOL pairs are supported; USDC pairs are identified as unsupported.
- CLMM pools and devnet are unsupported.
- Some free-tier RPCs block GET_PROGRAM_ACCOUNTS(), which may prevent pool-key retrieval.
- The README specifies solana==0.35.0 and solders==0.21.0.
Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.
Prepare Raydium Py configuration
Install the documented Python dependencies and add the required credentials and RPC endpoint to the project configuration.
Before you start
- Python environment
- Base58-format private key
- RPC endpoint
Steps
Clone the repository.
Install solana==0.35.0 and solders==0.21.0 with pip.
Add the Base58 private key and RPC endpoint to config.py.
Expected outcome
The repository has its documented dependencies installed and the required configuration values added.
Guide limitations
- These setup steps do not describe executing a swap.
- The library does not support devnet or CLMM pools.
