Practical overview

When it fits

Use PumpGrok when you want agent-assisted research and a controlled proposal-and-review process for Solana memecoins, or want to record simulated fills without submitting trades.

Who it is for

  • Solana memecoin researchers who want structured token and risk checks.
  • People building a human-reviewed trading workflow in Grok Bot, Cursor, Claude Code or Grok Build.
  • Users who want to record simulated fills instead of sending transactions.

Documented uses

  • Organize token discovery and specialist risk review.
  • Check token authorities, holder concentration, Jupiter quotes and priority fees.
  • Prepare ticket-based trade proposals with a risk veto and human approval.
  • Record simulated paper fills and maintain desk evidence.

Requirements & limits

The public GitHub repository is licensed under AGPL-3.0. Use requires a compatible host-agent runtime; the documented command-line helpers require Python 3, and most also require `requests`.

  • PumpGrok is a toolkit loaded into a host-agent runtime, not a standalone trading bot or exchange client.
  • Its Python helpers are read-only and do not sign or submit transactions.
  • The default mode is research; paper mode records simulated fills, while the documented micro-live mode requires a risk-limits interview and explicit user confirmation.
  • An optional private Solana RPC URL can be supplied; the tools document a public endpoint as their default.

Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.

Source-based practical guide

Run the repository’s local instruction-tree check

Check the repository’s agent instruction tree with its included linter.

Before you start

  • A local checkout of the PumpGrok repository.
  • Python 3.

Steps

  1. Open a shell in the repository.

  2. Run ./scripts/check.sh.

Expected outcome

An exit status of 0 means the instruction tree passes the repository’s stated health checks.

Guide limitations

  • The linter checks repository structure and conventions; it makes no network requests.
  • This is a repository check, not a trading or host-runtime test.
Source-based practical guide

Record a simulated paper fill

Use the documented paper simulator to record a proposed buy as a simulated fill.

Before you start

  • Python 3 and the requests package.
  • A local checkout of PumpGrok.
  • A ticket identifier, token mint, and values for size, price and slippage.

Steps

  1. Install the documented dependency with the command below.

    Documented command
    pip install requests
  2. Run the command below, replacing the example ticket and token values as needed.

    Documented command
    python tools/paper_sim.py --action buy --ticket SOL-20260827-001 --mint --size-usd 25 --price 0.000012 --slippage-bps 80

Expected outcome

The paper simulator logs a simulated fill without sending a real trade.

Guide limitations

  • Paper fills are simulated and do not establish trading performance.
  • PumpGrok’s helpers do not sign or submit transactions.
