Practical overview
When it fits
Use it when you want Claude to analyze connected search, analytics or advertising data for a defined SEO task, rather than working from a standalone dashboard.
Who it is for
- SEO practitioners who want to query site performance and research data through Claude.
- Teams managing websites with Search Console or GA4 data and looking for conversational audit, ranking or AI-referral workflows.
- Developers and skill authors who want to adapt MIT-licensed SEO skills.
Documented uses
- Audit indexation, click-through-rate anomalies and declining pages using Search Console and GA4.
- Research and cluster keywords using Google Ads keyword data and DataForSEO.
- Compare ranking changes across periods and identify competitor keyword gaps.
- Review backlink profiles and referring domains against competitors.
- See AI-engine referral traffic and the pages those sources cite in GA4.
Requirements & limits
The skills repository is MIT-licensed. The README describes the connector as free to add and says data access runs through a Ryze workspace and connected accounts; it does not charge a per-call markup.
- The repository provides task skills, while the Ryze MCP connector handles data access; both roles matter to the workflow.
- Data sources differ by skill: Search Console and GA4 for site performance, Google Ads and DataForSEO for keyword research, and DataForSEO for competitor and backlink analysis.
- The README says Ahrefs and Semrush can also be connected for users who already pay for those services.
- The Claude Code plugin bundles the connector, making a separate MCP-add step optional there.
- The README describes using the MCP URL in Cursor, ChatGPT or Claude Desktop, while the supplied plugin installation steps are for Claude Code.
Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.
