Practical overview
When it fits
Use it when you want periodic monitoring and change notifications for Alpha Arena positions rather than manually comparing position snapshots.
Who it is for
- People who want alerts about trading-position changes in nof1.ai Alpha Arena.
- Operators who can configure a Python application and a WeCom or Telegram notification channel.
Documented uses
- Receive alerts when monitored Alpha Arena positions change.
- Track all models or limit monitoring to named models.
- View model positions in a bilingual Flask page.
Requirements & limits
The documented setup runs the application locally on a Python server. The repository is public and identifies the project as MIT-licensed.
- The monitor retrieves data every minute; the companion positions page refreshes every 15 seconds.
- WeCom and Telegram are notification channels, each requiring its respective bot configuration.
- The first monitoring run skips change comparison because there is no previous snapshot.
- The application saves current and previous snapshots locally; additional history saving is configurable and disabled by default.
- The repository warns that nof1.ai interface and data-alignment changes affected earlier versions.
Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.
Configure and start trade monitoring
Set up the application to retrieve Alpha Arena positions and send detected changes to a configured notification channel.
Before you start
- Python 3.7 or later
- Network access to the API and notification service
- A WeCom group bot webhook for WeCom alerts, or a Telegram bot token and chat ID for Telegram alerts
Steps

pip install -r requirements.txtCopy the environment template to
.envand configure the notification credentials and other desired settings, includingMONITORED_MODELSif monitoring selected models.Start the monitor with the command below.
python main.py
Expected outcome
The application periodically fetches position data, compares it with the previous snapshot and sends notifications when it detects changes.
Guide limitations
- The first run skips comparison because no previous data is available.
- The monitor needs network access to the API and configured notification service.
- The repository warns that interface and data-alignment changes affected earlier versions and advises updating to the latest version.
Launch the local positions page
Start the included Flask page to view model positions in a browser.
Before you start
- Python 3.7 or later
- The project dependencies installed in the active Python environment
Steps

python web.pyOpen
http://127.0.0.1:5010/for the Chinese page orhttp://127.0.0.1:5010/?lang=enfor English.
Expected outcome
The local page displays positions and is documented to refresh automatically every 15 seconds.
Guide limitations
- The documented local address uses port 5010.
- The repository separately lists an online positions page, but this guide describes the documented local launch procedure.
