Practical overview

When it fits

Use Nitrostack when building an MCP server or AI-native backend in TypeScript, especially when you want a CLI starter flow and a separate visual environment for testing.

Who it is for

  • TypeScript developers building MCP servers for compatible clients.
  • Teams structuring AI-native backends with decorators and dependency injection.
  • Developers who want a visual desktop tool to test server tools and inspect payloads.

Documented uses

  • Scaffold a new MCP server project with the CLI.
  • Define server tools, resources and prompts in TypeScript.
  • Run a project locally and connect it to an MCP-compatible client.
  • Use NitroStudio to test tools, inspect payloads and chat with a server.
