Practical overview
When it fits
Use the repository when you want a concrete n8n workflow starting point that combines Pinecone with a documented model or data-source integration.
Who it is for
- n8n users seeking ready-made Pinecone workflow examples.
- Teams building retrieval-based question-answering over documents or support materials.
- Builders who want to adapt workflows connecting Pinecone with OpenAI and services such as Google Drive, Dropbox, Slack, LinkedIn or Apify.
Documented uses
- Import a workflow template into n8n.
- Create a chat workflow for questions about Google Drive documents.
- Query support documentation using Dropbox and Slack sources.
- Process LinkedIn comments for insights using Apify and Pinecone Assistant.
- Use Pinecone-connected examples for document processing and content generation.
Requirements & limits
The repository is public and states that the templates are licensed under MIT-0. Imported workflows require credentials for the services they use.
- The collection provides workflow JSON templates; n8n is the environment where they are imported and used.
- Templates differ in whether they use Pinecone Assistant or Pinecone Vector Store and in their connected data sources.
- The repository describes three import methods: paste JSON, import from file, or import from URL.
- Each workflow requires credentials for its integrations before it can be run.
Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.
Import a workflow into n8n
Add a repository workflow JSON template to an n8n workflow canvas.
Before you start
- Access to n8n
- A selected workflow JSON file from the repository
Steps
Copy the JSON contents, or download the workflow file, or obtain its JSON URL.
In n8n, select Create Workflow.
For pasted JSON, paste it onto the canvas. For a downloaded file or URL, open Settings and choose Import from File or Import from URL, then select the file or enter the URL and import.
Add the credentials required by the selected workflow, such as OpenAI, Pinecone or Google Drive.
Expected outcome
The selected template is imported into n8n with its required service credentials added, ready for the documented run stage.
Guide limitations
- The required credentials depend on the selected workflow.
- The guide documents importing and credential setup, not the configuration or successful execution of each workflow.
