Practical overview
When it fits
Use Lndash when you already run LND and want a self-hosted dashboard for routine node, invoice, payment and channel administration.
Who it is for
- Operators who run LND nodes and want a browser-based interface for node activity and payment tasks.
- Users who manage more than one LND node and want to switch between connections.
Documented uses
- Review and search invoices, payments and forwarded payments.
- Create and pay Lightning invoices.
- Open and close channels and inspect channel information.
- Browse the public Lightning Network and query routes.
Requirements & limits
The project documents source installation and global npm installation. Initial setup uses an admin password; the dashboard stores a hashed password and password-encrypted LND credentials in ~/.lndash/credentials.json.
- LND must be installed and running separately, and connecting requires node credentials or an LND Connect string.
- The dashboard supports multiple LND nodes and switching between them.
- Its responsive interface is data- and table-heavy; the project says it works best on larger screens.
- The repository declares an MIT license.
Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.
