Practical overview
When it fits
Use the collection when you need Helm packages for Ethereum components in a Kubernetes environment and can manage the cluster and chart configuration.
Who it is for
- Operators deploying Ethereum clients or related services on Kubernetes.
- Teams building self-hosted Ethereum node and testnet infrastructure.
Documented uses
- Package Ethereum execution- and consensus-layer clients for Kubernetes deployment.
- Combine client charts through the ethereum-node umbrella chart.
- Deploy supporting services such as metrics exporters, explorers, RPC proxies and faucets.
Requirements & limits
- Helm is a prerequisite for using the charts.
- The chart catalogue spans clients, an umbrella node chart and many supporting tools, so the desired component determines which package to use.
- The repository documents chart examples, but operators must account for their own Kubernetes environment and configuration.
Check current requirements in the official documentation. Source-based guidance does not mean OpenViST has run or independently tested this project.
Add the chart repository and find available charts
Register the Ethereum Helm Charts repository and search its chart packages.
Before you start
- Helm installed and set up.
Steps
Add the repository with
helm repo add ethereum-helm-charts https://ethpandaops.github.io/ethereum-helm-charts.If the repository was added previously, run
helm repo updateto retrieve the latest package versions.Run
helm search repo ethereum-helm-chartsto view available charts.
Expected outcome
The repository is added to Helm and its chart packages can be searched.
Guide limitations
- These steps add and search the repository; they do not configure or deploy a chart.
Install and remove the ethstats chart
Install the documented ethstats chart release and remove it with Helm.
Before you start
- Helm installed and set up.
- The ethereum-helm-charts repository added to Helm.
Steps
Run
helm install ethstats ethereum-helm-charts/ethstats.To uninstall the release, run
helm delete ethstats.
Expected outcome
Helm is instructed to install the ethstats chart as the `ethstats` release; the documented removal command deletes that release.
Guide limitations
- The README provides these commands but does not document environment-specific configuration or verify deployment success.
